Spartak Moscow will want to continue their current good form by beating FC Rostov tomorrow. Spartak won their last game before the international break with a 4-0 thrashing of Anzi. Spartak Moscow, who is fifth in the league, will want to win the game so as to move up the table.

The goals against Anzi were scored by Ze Luis, Denis Glushakov, and Quincy Promes. Spartak Moscow created several occasions during the game and could have scored more goals. Anzi, on the other hand, was quite weak as reflected by their place in the table.

However against FC Rostov, it will not be as easy for Spartak Moscow. The manager, however, will welcome the return of Brazilian midfielder Romulo and Russian defender Makeev. Both players have recovered from injuries and are set to be in the team to face Rostov.

Quincy Promes, goal scorer against Anzi will be assessed in a late fitness test to determine whether he can play against Rostov. Sami Khedira has warned people about writing off his teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger. The German international is currently suffering from a tear of the ligament in the knee when playing against England. He has only made his comeback for Manchester United in an injury-plagued season and would have love to have a few games to recover his form before the Euros finals.

Khedira, who is captaining the German side in the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger, has warned that there is still time for the player to recover and that he is still capable of playing at the highest level. Khedira, who has also had his own share of injuries in the past, believes that Bastian Schweinsteiger has the necessary mental strength to recover and to be part of the German team that will be going to the Euros.

Sami Khedira, who currently plays for Juventus, has enjoyed a good season so far with the Italian league leaders and will expect that they can end the season in style by clinching the Italian League as well as winning the Euros. The absence of big-name players like Daniele De Rossi is proving hard for manager Rudi Garcia to deal with it at Roma.

The club failed to make any progress in the league table after only manage a 1-1 draw with AC Milan at home. This poor result means that the club has just one win in the last five matches. This could be Garcia’s final match in charge of Roma, as it is believed that the board will have a meeting on the future of their manager on Monday.

More than the disappointment of dropping points against a top team like Milan, Roma supporters have been left heavy after witnessing the team being involved in a 3-3 draw against Chievo. The game could have been a comfortable three points for the away team after they were leading twice in the game. However, on both occasions, they allowed the home team – Chievo – to equalise. Umar and Florenzi had given a two-goal advantage when the first half break was near. However, Chievo managed to get one back through Paloschi. The game was level in the 58^th minute throughDainelli. The Serie A kicked off with a few surprises but there is no surprise whatsoever that the biggest one of the Italian League is the defeat that Juventus experienced after losing against Udinese in the opening match of the season.

Juventus received Udinese at the Juventus Stadium in Torino and sustained their first loss of the season as it was the visiting team which claimed the victory thanks to a solo goal which arrived from Cyril Thereau.

When the match reached it’s end, MassimilianoAllegri stated that his team did not deserve to lose as Juventus had a lot of chances to score but just couldn’t capitalize on those goal-scoring moments properly but to make matters worse, besides the surprising and fairly disappointing scoreboard for the home team, there is something else which has affected the team and its involving one of Allegri’s latest signings Sami Khedira.

The German midfielder Sami Khedira sustained a hamstring injury during a pre-season friendly that Juventus played against Marseille on August 1rst and it was later confirmed that the veteran player had a muscle tear in his right thigh which is going to make the player unable to play in any competitive match for Juventus during the next 2 months. A few weeks ago Sami Khedira announced that he will be leaving the Spanish side Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season. Khedira is not a consistent starter at the Santiago Bernabeu and the player wants to make a move to a club where he can consistently perform which is not going to happen with Real Madrid anytime soon.

The 28 year old German midfielder told the media: “It’s not a decision against Real Madrid. I want to start a new stage in my career and continue to grow.”

Sami Khedira has a tough time trying to get into the team of Carlo Ancelotti as the Italian manager prefers using Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez in the midfield department of the squad.

In a few months’ time, Khedira’s contract with Real Madrid will be over and the German player already has a number of clubs that are preparing offers in order to sign him.

Schalke 04 is one of those interested clubs and the chairman Clemens Tonnies believes that Sami Khedira wants to make a return to Germany which is where his professional playing career started as he began playing with Stuttgart in 2004 and it was the first top European club that he performed in.

Roberto Di Matteo is the coach of Schalke 04 and even though the German club is doing a fine job in this season as they are competing in the top 6 spots of the Bundesliga, Di Matteo is still interested in signing a few more players that could upgrade the team even further and Khedira has the characteristics that could greatly improve the team. Midfielder Sami Khedira is set to provide a major boost to Carlo Ancelotti by returning to first-team action for the match against Athletic Bilbao this weekend. The German international has been unable to feature regularly for Real Madrid in the last 18 months.

This is due to a succession of major and minor injury problems, but he was part of the World Cup 2014 winning squad in Brazil. He recently returned back to the first-team much to delight of Ancelotti, but this return to not last much longer after he suffered a hamstring injury against Atletico Madrid.

This was a match to forget for Khedira after Madrid lost the encounter 4-0 to one their rivals. Since then, Madrid have been trying to put together a consistent run of form. This has not happened and the club recently conceded more grounded to Barcelona in the la Liga title race by only drawing 1-1 against Villarreal in the league. A lead that could have been so dominant now stands only at two points after 25 games into the season. Madrid could have certainly done with the presence of a defensive Shield like Khedira, who is now set to return for the upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao. (more…)
