Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is back in training with the first team squad at his club after his recent travels to try to find a new club. Sami Khedira is surplus to requirements at Juventus and the German is coming to end of his contract with the Turin giants. He has less than six months remaining on his present deal with the Italian Serie A champions.

Sami Khedira is a World Cup winner with the German national team after he was part of the squad that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in the South American nation of Brazil. Sami Khedira and Germany beat Argentina 1-0 in the final of that tournament towin it with Mario Gotze getting the all-important goal in extra time. Sami Khedira was a big part of that German squad in Brazil.

Sami Khedira is in the latter stages of his career as a professional footballer and he’s no longer needed at Juventus. The German has been told that he could look for another club and his Italian team even offered him a severance package to leave the club on a free transfer but he preferred to stay on at the Juventus and fight for his shirt.

Sami Khedira has not played for Juventus this season as manager has preferred the likes of French international Adrien Rabiot, Rodrigo Bentacur, Aaron Ramsey and Weston McKennie in his midfield this season. Andrea Pirlo is in his debut season as the Juventus manager but he’s playing catchup as far as the league title in concerned. Juventus are ten points adrift of league leaders AC Milan after the loss at Inter Milan over the weekend. Juventus have played a game less than AC Milan and that outstanding match is at home to fellow title chasers Napoli who have one place and one point above the champions.
